Class Information:
Design Expo
H79.2274 (Clay Shirky) Thursday 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Students address a design challenge that is presented at the start of the term. Over the course of 14 weeks students work in small teams to prototype and develop ideas in response to the challenge; classes take the form of critique sessions of these ideas and their presentation. This year's theme, still being finalized, revolves around connectivity -- what happens when the mesh of people and machines grows both denser and faster? Several other universities from various countries may also participate in the Microsoft Design Expo. One of the project teams from each university is invited to present their work to the research and design groups at Microsoft in Redmond, WA over the summer.
